What if I'm having trouble checking in?

There are a few things you can do if you are having trouble checking in. 

  1. Refresh your location.
  2. Verify your app is up-to-date and location services are on.
  3. Troubleshoot your app and phone.

 

Refresh Your Location

There are two steps you can take to refresh your location. Please follow these steps:

Step 1: Click the Refresh Button on the visit page.

Step 2: If you still can't check-in after hitting the refresh button, try refreshing your location by closing the app.

TIP: For iPhones and many android phones, you can force close an app by clicking and holding the bottom of the screen, then swiping up.

Step 3: Open the app again. Go to the visit page and confirm if you can check-in now.

 

Verify Your App is Up-To-Date and Location Services are On.

To ensure the app works correctly, it is important to verify your app is up-to-date and verify that you have location settings enabled. The easiest way to do this is to access the App Status page. Please follow these steps.

Step 1: Click the menu icon in the top left corner.

Step 2: You will now see the Main Navigation Menu. Click the Information Icon at the bottom of the menu.

Step 3: You will now be able to see the App Status page. Find 'Current Version' and 'Location Services' on the screen and proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Check the number next to Current Version. The Current Version should read 10.35.17 or higher.

Step 5: Check that you can see 'Enabled' next to 'Location Services.' Location Services need to be on for the app to work properly.

Troubleshoot Your App and Phone

If you're still having trouble checking in, there are a few other troubleshooting steps you should try.

Step 1: Turn your device's Location Services off and on. 

TIP:   On iPhone, go to SETTINGS -> Privacy & Security -> Location Services.

On most Android phones, go to Settings -> Location.

Step 2: Open the GEOH app. Go to your visit and confirm if you can check in. If you still cannot check in, proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Uninstall the GEOH app from your phone.

TIP: On iPhone, find the app icon and press and hold until 'Remove App' appears. Click 'Remove App.'

Step 4: Go to the App Store or Play Store and redownload the app.

Step 5: Find the GEOH app in your phone and open it.

Step 6: Login to the app. Allow GEOH to use your location. Select 'Allow While Using App.'

Step 7: Go to your visit and confirm if you can check-in.
